Yuki Kamifuku Wins SPW Queen Of Asia Championship

TJPW star Yuki Kamifuku dethroned Singapore’s Alexis Lee for the SPW Queen Of Asia Championship earlier this week.

The Queen Of Asia Championship is the most prestigious singles women’s championship in the Asian region. It is owned by Singapore Pro Wrestling. The belt has been contested between female competitors originating from Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Japan since its inception in 2017.

Kamifuku ended Lee’s dominant 364-day reign at Singapore Pro Wrestling’s recent Viva La Lucha event. This marked Kamifuku’s second time challenging for the title. Her first shot at the championship was in a losing effort against Lee back in January.

The next challenge

After her title win, Yuki returned to Japan for a few shows for her home promotion, Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. She recently teamed up with Viva Van who made her Japanese wrestling debut. The duo defeated Shoko Nakajima and Kaya Toribami in a standard tag team bout. While the pairing coexisted for the duration of the matchup, it wasn’t long before Viva challenged Yuki for her newly won title afterwards. Yuki willingly accepted, and the two are now set to battle for the Queen Of Asia Championship at TJPW’s upcoming Korakuen Hall show on December 1st.

On the other hand, former champion Alexis Lee took to Twitter to reflect on her historic reign ending. Throughout her reign, Alexis defeated top female performers in Asia with victories over Riho, Mei Suruga, Saki Akai, and Philippines’ Crystal. Though she may have lost her Queen of Asia belt, Lee remains the CWE Vixen’s Champion: a title she has held since 2018.
