Those who fail to learn from the past are bound to repeat it. This is the succinct explanation of the importance of history for the advancement of human society. Before history became a normalized profession, it was always part of our lives as human beings. As each generation learns from the mistakes of its past and shapes its behavior in response to its previous experiences, the knowledge is passed on to its children and siblings.
While the information necessary for survival was limited thousands of years ago, this is no longer the case today.
